Career Opportunity for a TPD & Insurance Claims Paralegal – Join Our Dedicated Team and Make a Difference
We have an excellent opportunity for a confident and motivated paralegal to join our growing TPD and insurance claims team. Experience in TPD, income protection, superannuation disputes, or related insurance work is highly regarded, but we welcome applications from candidates with strong general paralegal experience and a keen interest in this area of law.
You will work closely with our Senior Associates and Legal Practice Director, assisting in the preparation of claims, client liaison, evidence gathering, and file management. You’ll be supported by a collaborative team environment and have access to the resources you need to succeed.
While this role is full-time, we are open to discussing part-time arrangements for an exceptional candidate.
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and committed to excellence. You’ll need the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain a high standard of accuracy. A collaborative team spirit, flexible approach, and strong attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Support a portfolio of TPD, income protection, and other insurance claim matters from initial instruction to resolution.
- Draft and prepare claim forms, submissions, and correspondence with insurers, superannuation funds, and other stakeholders.
- Liaise directly with clients to gather instructions, provide updates, and ensure they feel supported throughout their claim.
- Assist with obtaining medical reports, financial documents, and other evidence required to progress matters.
- Manage deadlines, maintain accurate file records, and ensure compliance with firm policies.
- Work collaboratively with senior lawyers and the legal support team to deliver excellent client outcomes.
- Provide administrative support in negotiations, mediations, and dispute resolution processes.
- Contribute to team meetings, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience as a Paralegal in TPD, insurance law, superannuation disputes, or related legal practice.
- Solid understanding of insurance claims processes and legal file management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deal confidently with clients, insurers, and medical providers.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy practice.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
- A collaborative and flexible approach, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with legal practice management software.
