About the role.
We have an excellent opportunity for a confident and motivated lawyer to join our growing TPD and insurance claims team. You will have at least 3 years’ post-admission experience in TPD, income protection, superannuation disputes, or related insurance law.
You will work closely with our Senior Associates and Legal Practice Director, supported by experienced paralegals and administrative staff to ensure you can focus on delivering outstanding results for clients.
While this role is full-time, we are open to discussing part-time arrangements for an exceptional candidate.
We’re looking for someone who is self-motivated, organised, and committed to excellence. You’ll need the ability to manage your workload efficiently, meet deadlines, and adapt to new challenges. A collaborative team spirit, flexible approach, and high attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of TPD, income protection, and other insurance claim matters from initial instruction to resolution.
- Provide accurate and timely legal advice to clients, explaining rights, entitlements, and potential outcomes.
- Draft and review legal documents, claim submissions, and correspondence with insurers, superannuation funds, and other stakeholders.
- Liaise with medical professionals, financial advisors, and other third parties to gather evidence and build strong cases.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate file management in accordance with firm policies and compliance requirements.
- Work collaboratively with senior lawyers, paralegals, and administrative staff to ensure client satisfaction.
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, or other dispute resolution processes where necessary.
- Contribute to team meetings, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 3 years PQE in TPD, insurance law, superannuation disputes, or a closely related field.
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation, insurance policy interpretation, and dispute resolution processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts in plain language.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational skills.
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service and achieving positive outcomes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with legal practice management software.
